Flybrid Systems expansion                                                         August 2008

Flybrid Systems have moved into new much larger premises on the Silverstone Technology Park. The move is in response to a strong demand for the company's kinetic energy recovery systems particularly from road car manufacturers.

The new unit offers 7,000 sqft of space divided almost equally between office and workshop allowing Flybrid to bring in-house a number of operations that have previously been sub contracted. Test facilities available will include spin test rigs for high-speed flywheel testing as well as full load test rigs for complete hybrid systems including the facility to regenerate electricity back to the grid during energy recovery cycles.

The move has already created new employment opportunities with the workforce growing by 33% and the company has high expectations for future growth.
